Marlboro Collection
This Limited Edition of images photographed for the famous Marlboro campaign was created for Phillip Morse by the renowned Leo Burnett Ad agency in Chicago.
These images are iconic collectors items as the Marlboro campaign will never run again as once did. With the guidance of the agency it became the most recognized and successful ad campaigns in history, all with the same theme for over 60 years. It was story telling from locations all over the west. It was a very romantic and mysterious collection of images from an era that defines the cowboy way of life to this day. The grainy and distinctive mood of these images puts them in a category all of their own. By design, they had to have a timeless look, slightly soft in focus, rugged and distinct from other campaigns. It was a big part of the mystic of the Marlboro ads.
It was this worldwide campaign that made images of the "Marlboro Man" the most photographed male faces in the world at the time. The Marlboro men were real cowboys as no model or person without their skills could do what was asked of them. It was a privilege to be a part of the photographers and artists that made this campaign so famous over the years.
